Budesonide

Description

Budesonide or Budicord is used:

For inhalation use: treatment of bronchial asthma (as basic therapy; with insufficient effectiveness of beta2-adrenergic agonists; to reduce the dose of oral corticosteroids); COPD treatment; stenosing laryngotracheitis (false croup).

For intranasal use: prevention and treatment of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis; non-allergic rhinitis; nasal polyps.

For oral administration: induction of remission in patients with exacerbation of mild and moderate forms of Crohn’s disease affecting the ileum and/or ascending colon; induction of remission in patients with active collagenous colitis.

For rectal use: exacerbation of distal forms of ulcerative colitis (with damage to the rectum and sigmoid colon).
