Enbrel in combination with methotrexate is prescribed to adults for the treatment of moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis when the response to disease-modifying anti-inflammatory drugs (DMARDs), including methotrexate, has been inadequate.
Enbrel may be prescribed as monotherapy in cases of ineffectiveness or intolerance to methotrexate.
Enbrel is indicated for the treatment of severe, active and progressive rheumatoid arthritis in adults who have not previously received methotrexate therapy.
