Fostimon

Description

Fostimon followed by the administration of choriogonic gonadotropin is indicated for the induction of ovulation in infertility in women with hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction who have amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea. According to the WHO classification, these patients are classified as group II and, as a rule, they were prescribed clomiphene citrate as primary therapy. Most of them have polycystic ovary syndrome.
Fostimon provides the most favorable treatment prospects in patients with LH/FSH imbalance, since it avoids exogenous administration of luteinizing hormone.
Fostimon is used for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (stimulation of the growth of multiple follicles) in women during assisted reproductive techniques, such as in vitro fertilization, embryo transfer, intratubal gamete transfer.
