Description

Propecia tablets are intended for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia for the purpose of:

– prevention of urological complications (reducing the risk of acute urinary retention) and reducing the need for surgical operations (including transurethral resection of the prostate gland and prostatectomy);

– reducing the size of an enlarged prostate gland, improving urine flow and reducing the severity of symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Finasteride is an antiandrogen drug specifically indicated for the treatment of hair loss in cases of androgenetic alopecia. Initially, finasteride was recommended for the treatment of prostate diseases by reducing the activity of male sex hormones. However, the effectiveness of finasteride in controlling hormonal alopecia was observed when it was used in smaller quantities. Currently, along with minoxidin, it is one of the most common drugs for the treatment of hair loss.
