Xatral belongs to a group of medications called alpha-1 blockers that are used to treat symptoms of a condition called benign prostatic enlargement, in which the prostate gland becomes larger than normal. With benign prostate enlargement, symptoms such as a feeling of frequent and urgent need to urinate, difficulty in the flow of urine at the beginning of urination, weak urine flow and the need to urinate at midnight are observed. The drug relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate gland and bladder neck. Relaxing these muscles can improve urinary symptoms.
Active ingredient: Alfuzosin – 10 mg.
