Anagrid

Description

Anagrid is a cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase III inhibitor, a thrombolytic drug that lowers platelet levels in the blood and is used to treat thrombocythemia, a disease in which the bone marrow produces a large number of platelets.

Thrombocythemia causes excessive blood clotting, which leads to circulatory problems, and the use of anagrelide reduces the risk of disturbing the normal balance of blood composition.
